  1. Sci-Fi & Fantasy TV 2015-16

How is Legends of the Future shaping up for you? We've only had the 2 part pilot so far. I'm still trying to get over Arthur Darvill doing more SciFi, and doing it rather well as a renegade Time "Master." Did DC comics come up with that race before or after 1963????
  2. Sci-Fi & Fantasy TV 2015-16

It starts here next Monday night. I'll record it, but I'm in two minds whether to worry about watching it until all the eps are on the Tivo or not.
  3. New Star Trek TV series coming in 2017

It'll be interesting to know whether or not it is available outside the US - preferably before I get bombarded with emails asking why I'm not typing them up..... (because their terms of use prohibit derivative works based on their videos, that's why.) Oh look, as I'm not in US, Canada or Australia, I have to sod off. Lovely.
  4. Well, it's back in the UK tonight, first of 5 shows this season. Complete with 10 minutes prequel on the BBC iPlayer which I doubt non UK residents can get. I don't know if I'm looking forward watching to or dreading having to try and transcribe it.
  5. Doctor Who season 7 or 33, take your pick

Finale screened. Opinions? (Personally, I don't think the titles reflect the contents of the last two. Should have been the other way around.)
  6. General Arrow Discussion (SPOILERS)

Seasons 3 and 4 are building up on the TiVo while I wait for them to repeat season 2. We enjoyed season 1 but don't want to skip anything.
  7. New Star Trek TV series coming in 2017

Hmm, wonder if we'll get it on CBS Drama cable channel, or CBS Action? I doubt it'll be scheduled on CBS Reality.....
  8. Co-writer of JJ-verse Trek 3 hired to make film "less Trek-y"

The proliferation of comic-based TV and movies suggests that they will attract more people and hence more money, because they are in the public view already. Whereas Kirk and Spock are relegated to small channels rerunning 60s shows, mostly, which are not watched by the primary target demographic. So what do they expect? Time to let it go, along with Star Wars.
  9. CW 2015-16 television schedule

Good to see Arrow and Flash continuing. Do you think this Legends thing will be any good? I've not been into comics since the 60s, really.
  10. Robert Orci (not) directing Star Trek 3

    Oh Zarquon, noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  11. Doctor Who season 7 or 33, take your pick

But to be fair, we are not the teenage boys that they are aiming the show at these days.... Or even the twenty/thirty somethings who know no better.
  12. Sci-Fi & Fantasy TV 2014-2015

We're watching Gotham and Flash (and Arrow season 1). Looking forward to Resurrection season 2, to see if they can totally throw the book away like they have now with Under the Dome.....
  13. Gotham general discussion

Question - why isn't young Bruce in school, or at least being formally tutored? I don't see Alfred filling that role at present in the show, just being a general butler/housekeeper/manservant.
  14. Doctor Who season 7 or 33, take your pick

Death in What? Oh, Heaven. Yeah, the whole Missy/Master thing was gosh-awful and has the teenage fan boys wetting themselves over the possibility of a female Doctor...... I may vomit in Odo's bucket if that happens. I had hoped that the sense of deep relief I used to feel at the end of a Matt Smith series would diminish with a mature Doctor, but yes, the stories have been not of the best calibre. Another Genesis of the Daleks or Caves of Androzani are never going to happen, I fear.
  15. The Flash general discussion

A bit of fun. Not sure how long they can keep it going though....
  16. Gotham general discussion

I dunno. We've kept going (to ep 4 so far) but if it vanishes I doubt we'll notice. Very dark and nasty, though.
  17. Chrissie's Transcripts Site

Just to say, transcripts of all the Star Trek episodes are now online at Chrissie's Transcripts Site along with Voyager and Enterprise.
  18. Chrissie's Transcripts Site

I did contemplate one other Sci Fi classic, but then watched as another fan site got ripped up by the lawyers, so I changed my mind. Anyway, all the audio Who out there should keep me occupied for the next couple of decades or so... in between my other interests and chores.
  19. Doctor Who season 7 or 33, take your pick

Well, 2 out of the three should be going, at least. Now that is all over until Christmas.
  20. Chrissie's Transcripts Site

Bless you, my child Eighth Doctor audio adventures courtesy of another manic who likes typing up things...
  21. Chrissie's Transcripts Site

Really ought to get this thread renamed to Chrissie's Transcripts Site....
  22. Chrissie's Transcripts Site

New section of audio stories and stuff added. People even send me stuff they've typed up! Wow! http://www.chakoteya.net/Extras/list.html
  23. Doctor Who season 7 or 33, take your pick

Well, Forest is yet another oh no we're all going to die! no, we're not, everything is fine story. I like Capaldi far, far more than Smith despite the writing, but the Clara theme is getting more and more on my nerves. Why can't a companion just be a companion?
  24. Doctor Who season 7 or 33, take your pick

Not keen on them writing Capaldi as Smith (not listening to people, making things up in his head while others are talking...) but he is a far better Doctor for me. If only the stories could live up to the actor.
  25. 24: Live Another Day

Watching it, of course. It doesn't seem as violent as previous series to me. And playing spot the location (I used to work in the City and E1 areas). Yes that is Liverpool Street station, they wouldn't dare get that wrong. But some of the street drives? You certainly can't get to there from there, although it is not as bad as, say, Spooks or the Professionals who would go south over Westminster Bridge and somehow end up on the north side of the river... Gotta love Stephen Fry as the PM. If only in real life we had a full blown manic depressive in charge. Life would be interesting at least.
