  1. Fantasy art

i've had that same thing happen. what looked fine in pencil looks clearly off once inked.
  2. Fantasy art

interresting integration of skin into wing. i like your color choices and the detailing on the trim of the dress. i think her head position is a bit too rotated and i am not sure about her facial expression. i do like your use of highlights and shadows. you have good line quality on your inking. thanks for sharing it.
  3. So Sylar is Spock?

i have always thought spock was intense. not overtly like mccoy but in his own way.
  4. 3x21 - "Greatest Hits"

i've never cared for charlie, so i'd be happy to see him go. i'm with tj about locke, i hope they don't carry that over to the next season.
  5. Frozen embryo legal fight

    agreed
  6. Frozen embryo legal fight

thanks for the update. ideally conception occurs after both partners agree to procreate. i agree with the court's decision.
  7. German ashes-to-gem plea rebuffed

But then how do you decide if different family members want to do different things? Do you give half the ashes to the daughter and let her make a smaller diamond and let the mother bury the other half? hence, the statement, "there should be a standard hierarchy for who gets to make the decision". it's just another reason that a will is important no matter who you are.
  8. German ashes-to-gem plea rebuffed

i think people should be able to do what ever they want with their/their loved one's corpse. if they want to follow the deceased's wishes that's fine. if they don't then there should be a standard hierarchy for who gets to make the decision. as for my own corpse i don't really care. my husband and i have both stipulated in our wills that we wish to be cremated because it's efficient and green. however, if my husband and/or children want something else that would be fine with me.
  9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

well, instead of relying on the masses to gauge movie quality one could find a few reviewers who consistantly reflect their opinions on movies and read those reviews. i suppose if you tend to like what the masses like then you can follow the masses. i just don't find them in tune with my tastes.
  10. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

you are saying: most people like it = good movie. i am saying: many people paying to see it =/= good movie. these are two different statements. and again, box office pull is not a reliable indicator of a movie's quality. some bad movies make tons, and some good movies are overlooked.
  11. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

i don't think box office returns are a good way to judge a movie's quality.
  12. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

i think you are overgeneralizing about reviewers. many of them like genre films. as for the prequels, they got bad reviews and made gobs of money. sw fans may have said they weren't good, but when it came down to it they voted with their wallets.
  13. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

sometimes but not always. fans of tmnt are more likely to vote for a tmnt movie and that skews the results. audience reviews are more reliable on non genre movies. professional reviwers are much less likely to be OMFGTMNT!!!!
  14. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

my 9 year old saw it via a birthday party. he knew nothing about tmnt before seeing the movie and came home saying it was better than he expected. of course, he expected it to be awful so that's not much of an endorsement. rotten tomatoes has it at 34% fresh. (if you aren't familiar with the site, they collect dozens of professional reviews, rate them as positive or negative, and use that to produce a percentage)
  15. Trek and Game Shows

i remember seeing brent spiner on a game show long before he was data. i think it was 'what's my line' or a similar type game.
